Towards a Practical Guide for Privacy by Design
Stefan Schiffer, European Union Agency for Network & Information Security (ENISA)
Privacy by Design has been coined some time ago and found its way into policy. However, it is up to now not very clear what techniques are available for system designers to be compliant with this principal. We will present the current status of ENISA's work in progress on Privacy by Design. The focus will be on design principals and patterns for privacy awareness and how such patterns can be used to engineer privacy friendly IT services. Furthermore, we will frame this work into its policy context.
