Behrend is Managing Partner at UBIRY GmbH. UBIRY advises companies on business development with a focus on Cloud Computing. Behrend has more than 14 years experience in technology and venture management. In the recent past Behrend co-founded one of the first cloud computing start-ups in Germany and was managing partner and CEO. Before that he served as innovation and venture manager for Deutsche Telekom Laboratories. Prior to joining Deutsche Telekom AG, Laboratories, Behrend worked as an Investment Manager for Allianz Venture Partners in Munich and J.P. Morgan in London and Frankfurt. He started his career at the Computational & Biological Vision Lab at USC in Los Angeles. Behrend holds a PhD in business administration and a degree in Physics.
