Enabling Scalable & Secure Cloud Infrastructures to Meet the Demands of Compute Intensive Workloads

Boyd Davis, Vice President, Intel Architecture Group, Intel, USA

Whether planning a cloud deployment for compute intensive workload or to host your travel expenses tools there are a number of basic functions that need to be addressed, for example - how do you ensure your work load is secure, how do you ensure the most power efficient solution to manage your costs thru to how do achieve an elastic and scalable storage solution. Intel is working with end-customers and eco-system partners to document many of the business challenges organizations face in building out their cloud infrastructure and to develop a roadmap of capabilities that need to be put in place to ensure successful adoption of cloud architectures. As part of this activity Intel is working with its eco-system partners to develop a set of reference architectures for the building blocks that are necessary to enable basic cloud infrastructures and to make these available to end-customers looking to build their first cloud. This session will discuss the capabilities roadmap, and the reference architectures that are available today, along with customer deployment examples, in compute intensive and enterprise environments.
