Tony DeVarco

Senior Manager for Strategic Partners & HPC Cloud Computing, SGI, USA
Tony DeVarco is Senior Manager for Strategic Partners and HPC Cloud Computing at SGI. In 1991, he was appointed Executive Director of the Buckminster Fuller Institute and led the organization until 1995. He then became Associate Executive Director for the World Game Institute in Philadelphia, PA a role he held until 1997.
Tony moved with his family to Santa Cruz, California to take a position as Vice President of US Operations for WorldSat International. In 1999 he joined Silicon Graphics (SGI) where he held various senior vertical marketing and strategic partner positions and was a founding executive committee member of the Itanium Solutions Alliance. In the fall of 2006 he was recruited to work with Symantec in their partner marketing group and then became Vice President of Owen Media, a marketing and communications company. In December of 2009 Tony rejoined SGI to become the program manager for SGI Cyclone which launched in February of this year. DeVarco holds a Master Degree in Arts Management from the College Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from DePauw University.
