The Cloud Security Alliance
Dr Giles Hogben is European Research Director for Cloud Security Alliance. He is responsible for all CSA research projects in the EMEA region. This includes national and EU funded research projects as well as cross-industry European R&D initiatives. He is a security and privacy expert, specialised in cloud computing, web and mobile security. His previous role was at the European Network and Information Security Agency, where he led ENISA's 2012 procure secure study on continuous monitoring of cloud services, as well as co-authoring ENISA's 2009 report Cloud Computing: Benefits, Risks and Recommendations for Information Security.
He has led numerous studies on other network and information security topics including HTML5, app-stores and mobile security, botnet measurement and defence. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Gdansk University of Technology in Poland and Masters and Bachelor degrees from Oxford University, UK in Physics and Philosophy.
