Wolfgang Gentzsch - ISC Cloud General Chair






Wolfgang Gentzsch is a strategic consultant for HPC, Grid, and Cloud
Computing, co-founder of the Uber-Cloud Experiment, and an advisor to the
EU project EUDAT for building a pan-European Collaborative Data
Infrastructure. Before, he was an advisor to the EU project DEISA, the
Distributed European Infrastructure for Supercomputing Applications,
directed the German D-Grid Initiative, was a professor of computer science
at Duke in Durham, NC State in Raleigh, and the University of Applied
Sciences in Regensburg, and a visiting scientist at RENCI, the Renaissance
Computing Institute at UNC Chapel Hill. Wolfgang was a member of the US
President's Council of Advisors for Science and Technology, PCAST, and
held leading positions at Sun, MCNC, Gridware, and Genias.
