Brad Dispensa is a veteran HPC designer and systems programmer for more than 13 years. He has been a peer-reviewed journal author and designer of advanced and cost effective HPC system deployed in health care and life sciences. Most recently his systems have genotyped more than 100k patients and are scheduled to do another 200k, becoming one of the world’s largest registries. When he is not fighting compute nodes, he can be found in the information security community working to better secure critical infrastructure and defend against attackers. Currently he is the Director of IT & Info-sec for the departments of Anesthesia and the Institute for Human Genetics at the University of California San Francisco.
