Jean-Luc Assor is the worldwide segment manager, CAE & EDA for HP’s Hyperscale Business Unit. He graduated from the Telecom ParisTech with a MSc in engineering, physics, electronics and signal processing. From 1991 to 1996, Jean-Luc worked as a research engineer in CERN (and CNET (French National Center for Telecommunications). He spent the next 5 years in the telecommunication engineering area, running the Mobile Network Services Engineering Department in Bouygues Telecom. From 2003 to 2011, he ran the HPC sales activitivites for HP France, notably managing the customer transition from UNIX (Alpha and PA-RISC) to x86 Linux in aerospace and automotive. He is now responsible for HP's HPC programs for automotive, aerospace and semiconductors.
