Prof. Dr. Georg Carle

Professor for Network Architectures & Services, Teschnische Universität München, Germany

Georg Carle is full professor at the department of computer science at Technische Universität München, holding the chair for Network Architectures and Services. In 1989 he received an M.Sc. degree from Brunel University London, in 1992 a diploma in electrical engineering from University of Stuttgart, and in 1996 a doctoral degree in computer science from University of Karlsruhe. In 1997, he worked as postdoctoral researcher at Institut Eurécom, Sophia Antipolis, France. From 1997 to 2002 he was with Fraunhofer FOKUS in Berlin. From 2003 to 2008 he was full professor at University of Tübingen, founding the newly established chair on computer networks and internet. In April 2008, he joined Technische Universität München.

He has been the leader of numerous projects funded by international and national research programmes and industry. He published widely in conference proceedings, magazines and journals. He is active as member of program committees and organizing committees of several workshops and conferences, and is chair of the IFIP Working Group 6.2 on Network and Internetwork Architecture.
