Prof. Dr. Klaus Waldschmidt

Klaus Waldschmidt studied electrical engineering at Berlin University (TU Berlin) and received his Ph.D. in 1970 at the same university (Adviser Prof. Dr. W.K. Giloi).
For two years he was a deputy director for information processing in the Heinrich Hertz Institute of Berlin and in 1973 he became Professor in the department of electrical engineering at the University of Dortmund.
Since 1982 he is Professor at the Goethe University Frankfurt/Main and heads the chair for Technische Informatik.
His research and teaching interests include computer architecture, embedded systems and mixed signal system design.
He is fellow of the Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI) and he received the eda award.
