What is the difference between Invited, Contributed and Industrial Sessions?

Invited Sessions consist of invited talks only. The ISC’12 Steering Committee, together with the chairperson of the Invited Session, handpicks the speakers and invites them to give a talk. In the ISC agenda planner, Invited Sessions are marked in red.

Speakers of the Contributed Sessions are recruited via a call for participation. People interested in participating in ISC's conference program submit their proposals by a certain deadline; a Committee reviews the proposals and selects the ones to be admitted to ISC. Tutorials are Contributed Sessions, too, but are listed as a separate category. In the ISC agenda planner, Contributed Sessions (i.e. Research Papers, BoFs, Posters) are marked in dark blue and Tutorials in turquoise.

Industrial Sessions consist of talks given by the ISC sponsors and exhibitors. The speaking opportunities in these sessions are part of the sponsorship packages booked. In the ISC agenda planner, Industrial Sessions (i.e. Hot Seat, Exhibitor Forums) are marked in light blue.

Do you have a mobile app for smartphones?

Thanks to the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC), the ISC’12 agenda is available for Android and Apple iOS devices. To download PSNC’s mobile app, Conference4me, please visit: http://conference4me.psnc.plor type Conference4me in Google Play or iTunes App Store.
