| Abstract: |
|
A heterogeneous system where each component is tailor-made to suit a diverse profile of an application is clearly an ideal worth aiming for, and in principle, it should deliver best-of-all-worlds performance. However, in reality, defining, piecing together, and programming various constituent components of such a system to deliver expected power-performance has generally been a non-trivial endeavor. This talk is about analyzing performance-versus-effort RoI expectations of heterogeneous computing in some illustrative application contexts. |
