Supercomputing provides an increasing high fidelity view of the world through numerically intensive modeling and simulation techniques that support complex decision making and discoveries in the scientific and technical fields. Big Data Analytics, as it is called today, also provides an accurate view of the world through data intensive search, aggregation, sorting and grouping techniques that support complex decision making and knowledge discovery in the web and business transaction fields. The talk will explore how these two architectures can blend together, provide a specific example with Cray’s uRiKA graph appliance from our YarcData division and in particular the implication to Cray's Adaptive Supercomputing Vision. |
