| Abstract: |
|
Spanning the breadth of DNA molecules in human cells to the largest phenomena in the known universe, HPC is at the core of research institutions around the world. And as new technology enhances the ability of these institutions to discover scientific advances, one in particular is having a more pronounced impact than others – large shared memory platforms. In this discussion, two leading users of this technology will discuss the algorithms and applications that are excelling on these platforms, as well as how they are able to manage their computing environment with fewer resources. They will also discuss the limitations of shared memory systems, and how to seamlessly integrate distributed memory solutions into their computing environment to handle various workflows. |
