Dr. Jay GambettaResearch Staff Member, IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center
Jay Gambetta completed his Ph.D. at Griffith University, Australia (2004) under the supervision of Prof. Howard Wiseman. His research focused on quantum effects in open quantum systems. After his Ph.D. he spent 3 years at Yale University, USA (2004-2007) as a Post-Doctoral Fellow researching in quantum information processing with superconducting circuits. He then joined the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo, Canada (2007-2011) where he held positions as a Post-Doctoral Fellow (2007-2009), a CIFAR Junior Fellow (2009-2010), and a Research Assistant Professor (2010-2011). Here he continued his research on quantum information processing with superconducting circuits. As of 2011 he is now a Research Staff Member at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center where he continues working on quantum information processing with superconducting circuits. |
