Daniela Piccioni Koch is an Italian physicist. She obtained her degree in Physics at the University of Bologna (Italy) and her PhD degree at the Bristol University (UK). She is currently employed as Research Associate at the Steinbuch Centre for Computing (SCC) of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany. She is involved in simulations on HPC systems, which mainly apply to the following areas:
- fusion research (materials and containment systems),
- hydrogen safety,
- high temperature catalysis and emission control
