Dr. Georg HagerResearch Scientist, Erlangen Regional Computing Center
Georg Hager is a theoretical physicist and holds a PhD in Computational Physics from the University of Greifswald. He has more than 15 years of experience in scientific high performance computing, and is now a senior researcher in the HPC Services group at Erlangen Regional Computing Center (RRZE), which is part of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. His current research interests cover architecture-specific optimization strategies for current microprocessors, high-performance C++ code, performance modeling on processor and system levels, and special topics in shared memory and hybrid programming. His textbook “Introduction to High Performance Computing for Scientists and Engineers” is recommended reading in courses and lectures about scientific computing around the world. |
