Julian M. KunkelResearch Assistant, Deutsches Klimarechenzentrum
Julian Kunkel became interested in HPC software during his Bachelor studies in 2005. Since then, he has been evaluating efficient system-software in his theses and more than 20 publications. In 2009 he started working at the German Climate Computing Center (DKRZ). Currently, he completes his PhD in which he developed a simulator for parallel applications and their I/O behavior to foster understanding of their complexity. While focused on parallel I/O research, he agrees with the necessity to reduce software development complexity. |
