Prof. Dr. Sabine RollerProfessor, RWTH Aachen
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sabine Roller studied Technical Mathematics at University Karlsruhe (TH). She got her PhD from the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering and Geodesy, University of Stuttgart. After 6 years at High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS), leading the Scalable Computing & Coupled Systems group, she became full professor in Applied Supercomputing in Engineering at RWTH Aachen University and German Research School for Simulation Sciences. The focus of her research is the simulation of large scale technical systems. on the basis of fluid dynamics. A key aspect is the efficient implementation of multi-scale and multi-physics applications on current and future HPC systems. Prof. Roller won an Amelia Earhart Fellowship Award for woman in aerospace engineering in 1998-1999 period. |
