ISC'13 Is Not Affected by Flooding in Central Europe

We would like to assure all attendees that the city of Leipzig is not affected by the current flooding that is causing travel delays in certain parts of eastern Germany.

Local authorities as well as the Congress Center Leipzig confirm that all inbound flights and trains are operating in accordance with their schedules. The German Autobahns leading into Leipzig are also clear of flood waters. In addition, all hotels, schools, public offices in Leipzig are operating normally.

We're monitoring the situation and will post any news that might affect Leipzig travel.

Exascale Research – The European Approach

In the next weeks, you will read three blog entries of three European exascale projects – DEEP, Mont-Blanc and CRESTA, all working on solutions for the challenges of exascale computing. These projects are all funded by the European Commission and will jointly present their results at the ISC'13 BoF: Exascale Research – The European Approach, on Tuesday, June 18, at 9 am.
