Technische Universität Dresden
Booth: 645
The ZIH is the central scientific unit for al IT-related matters at TU Dresden. As competence centre for
parallel computing, we offer HPC resources to academic users and promote scientific computing.
Focused on parallel and data intensive computing, our major research topics are performance and
energy efficiency optimization of applications, scalable algorithms and methods.
Teradactyl LLC.
Booth: 662
Teradactyl develops the True incremental Backup System software for education, research, and HPC
centers. Teradactyl designs for scalable performance, specialized file systems, and environments
with little data commonality. New algorithms drastically reduce storage costs while delivering
extraordinary speed in the identification and transfer of new or changed data to centralized backup

TSUBAME2.5 (Fall 2013) is the upgrade of the highly successful TSUBAME2.0, which became the 1st
Japanese Petascale supercomputer ranked #4 on the Top500 and #2 on the Green500 in Nov. 2010.
Dramatic performance improvement involves over 5 petaflops double precision and 15 petaflops
single precision peak performance, the latter becoming the fastest supercomputer in Japan, with
no increase in power.
Booth: 160
The TOP500 project was started in 1993 to provide a reliable basis for tracking and detecting trends
in high-performance computing. Twice a year, a list of the sites operating the 500 most powerful
computer systems is assembled and released. The best performance on the Linpack benchmark
is used as performance measure for ranking the computer systems. The list contains a variety
of information including the system specifications and its major application areas. For more
information please visit
