Getting to Leipzig by Train
Leipzig Central Station is Europe’s largest railway terminal station and puts Leipzig right into the center of Germany’s, and in fact Europe’s railway network. The fast and comfortable ICE trains provide for good direct connections to all major cities in Germany. A ride to Berlin takes one hour, travel times to Frankfurt and Hamburg are approx. 3 hours, and there is an hourly service. Even for some neighbouring European countries, the train is an easy and attractive option for travelling to Leipzig. The travel time from Prague to Leipzig by train is 3:30 hours. Leipzig Central Station is located right in the heart of the historic city center where most of the hotels are.
Getting from the City Center/Hotels to the CCL Venue
Almost all hotels are located directly in Leipzig’s city center, in close walking distance to the Central Railway Station. Leipzig features an excellent and perfectly reliable public transport network. The best connection between the city center and the venue is tram line 16, which takes less than 20 minutes. The staff of your hotel will point you to the nearest tram stop. For most delegates, it will be either “Hauptbahnhof” (Central Railway Station), or “Augustusplatz”.
The ISC registration fee includes travel within Leipzig (zone 110) from June 22 through 26. Please wear your conference badge at all times when travelling on public transport. For detailed tram schedules and information, please have a look here.
Transportation from Leipzig Airport to the Hotels and to the Venue

A taxi ride costs approx. 30 Euros (airport – city). The CCL is located right in the middle between the airport and the city center. A public transport option is the shuttle train to the city which calls at the venue. A taxi ride costs approx. 20 Euros (airport – CCL venue).
Travelling by Car
If you are arriving by car, please follow the signposts in and around Leipzig. Leipzig Exhibition Center ("Messegelände") is very well signposted. The Leipzig Trade Fair property incorporating the CCL is located directly at a major German motorway: the A 14 (Dresden - Magdeburg - Hannover). Use the exit "Messegelände", or the exit „Leipzig Mitte" to get even closer to the CCL's main entrance. Ten minutes away from the site, the A 14 intersects with another important German motorway: the A 9 (Munich - Berlin). Federal Road B2 makes it easy to reach the CCL within 15 minutes from the city center of Leipzig.
