George Ostrouchov is a Senior Research Staff Member in the Scientific Data Group of the Computer Science and Mathematics Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Joint Faculty Professor of Statistics at the University of Tennessee through the Joint Institute for Computational Sciences. He obtained his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Statistics from Iowa State University after a B.Math. from the University of Waterloo. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association. His interests center on the interaction of High Performance Computing and Statistics. He leads the pbdR project (see at both the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility and at the National Institute for Computational Sciences.
