Dr. Thomas Gerhold

Dr. Thomas Gerhold is Team Lead in the C²A²S²E center of the DLR Institute of Aerodynamics and Flow Technology in Göttingen and Braunschweig since 2007 and is among other projects in charge of HPC research. Before he had been Research Scientist at DLR in Göttingen and was involved in the development of the DLR TAU code since the start in 1994. Since 1990 he worked on the Doctoral Thesis at the DLR Institute of Aerodynamics and Flow Technology and got his PhD in Numerical Simulation and Turbulence Modeling from the Technical University of Aachen in 1994. He had been Diploma-Student for Mechanical Engineering between 1983 and 1990 at the RWTH Aachen University and made his Diploma Thesis at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis in 1990.
