Dr. Duncan RowethSenior Principal Engineer, CTO Office, Cray
Duncan Roweth is a senior principal engineer in the CTO office at Cray, working on development of future products. His current work includes development of adaptive routing algorithms for low diameter networks. Dr. Roweth recently led Cray work on the ACES Interconnect Project modelling performance of Dragonfly networks on DOE applications. He currently leads Cray work in DesignForward, one of the DOE exascale research projects. Other research activities include scalable and fault tolerant implementation of the communications primitives for Exascale programming environments. Dr. Roweth is based in the UK, from where he leads Cray research activities in Europe. He was a co-founder of UK based interconnect specialist Quadrics in 1996, joining Cray in 2009. Dr. Roweth obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh in 1987 and has been working in the HPC industry since then.
