Lei Xu obtained his Master's Degree of Science in Applied Mathematics from the Central South University, Hunan, China, in 2007. He joined in the R&D Dept. at Shanghai Supercomputer Central in 2007. His research interests mainly include numerical algorithms, parallel computing, the use of heterogeneous architecture, parallel programming methodology. He has participated in several research projects supported by national high technology research and development program of China. These projects focus on the application of large scale HPC systems for numerical simulation, which come from a variety of background, such as electromagnetics, astronomy, structural mechanics, etc.
