Mr. Giles is a tireless advocate of HPC’s role as an accelerator to industrial innovation. Giles is a founding member of NDEMC (National Digital Engineering and Manufacturing Consortium), a public-private partnership serving small and medium manufacturers in the American Midwest. He is a co-founder, along with HLRS and KiSTi, of the International Industrial Supercomputing Workshop. His Private Sector Program (PSP) at NCSA has partnered with nearly 60% of the manufacturers in the U.S. FORTUNE100®, as well as with bio-medical, chemical, tech, oil and gas, and agricultural companies. His most recent achievement was to help win USA’s $320M Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation institute.
