|Abstract:||China scientific computing cloud aims to aggregate multiple distributed, autonomous HPCs into one virtual HPC for users. It provides a large number of computing resources and software resources, and allows users to access resources in a unified way. Scientific computing cloud is constructed by SCE which is a lightweight, stable middleware and developed by Supercomputing Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences (SCCAS). Using SCE, resources in the scientific computing cloud are under unified management and schedule, and software service availability is improved for users. Scientific computing cloud provides a programming interface for programmers to develop application platforms. The programming interface conforms to REST style, and it is simple, functional, safe, and platform-independent. Using the programming interface, we have developed platforms in computational chemistry area, material area, and etc. In the future, more and more application platforms are expected to construct for users in different scientific areas.
