|Abstract:||In general, the computational demand for high-performance computing (HPC) is similar in Cryptanalysis and in classical HPC use-cases like Physics, Chemistry, Medicin, etc. ("You doubled the comouting power? Great, I will slightly increase the problem size of my
computations!") However, there are differences between these fields in terms of algorithms, arithmetic, and parallelization which change preferences on the hardware level as well as on higher levels such as compilers and language choices.
The aim of this talk is to give an introduction to high-performance cryptanalytic computing for non-cryptographers.
