Time: Wednesday, June 25, 2014
02:15 pm - 03:15 pm
Room:   Hall 1

Abstract:   The panel considers the question of whether we (the HPC community) drive the future of HPC, or do we just react to the market of available technologies, users, political support, etc.? Is it our vision of exascale computing that will drive the future of HPC technologies, providers and politics? Or is the needs of the commercial users of HPC that will drive the technologies, providers and politics? Does it matter? Are we honest with ourselves and our funders about this?
