|Abstract:||Driven by CPU-intensive processing, HPC applications (i.e. computational analysis or simulations) handle often large volumes of data. This has a great impact on the HPC storage subsystem, given that storage I/O capabilities are typically much lower than those of processors. This is one reason why Data Storage Technology has incrementally changed from the past couple of years to deal better with BIG Data problems.
In this session speakers from four different companies will describe the latest technical innovations in their respective research and development fields and will reach out for further enhancements needed to be prepared for the Exabyte area.
